About Clidive

We are a very active British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) branch based in Central London. We have around 100 members.

Clidive is a very friendly club full of divers who believe that diving isn't just for holidays once a year. Every year, Clidive organises 80-90 days of diving for its members in the UK and abroad. We are one of the most active diving clubs in the country.

Clidive is a not-for-profit members club. We are not a commercial organisation. We do not exist to make profits, but solely to provide safe, high quality and adventurous diving for our members. All the club's instructors, lifeguards, dive marshalls and committee members give their time for free.

We own two boats plus 16 sets of scuba equipment available for members' use.

Our two fast RIBs (rigid hulled inflatable boats) move from location to location throughout the year. In the last year, they have operated from Weymouth, Salcombe, Plymouth, North and South Cornwall and the Western Isles.

We also dive from chartered hard boats around the UK and further afield. In the last year, we have dived in the South of France, the Red Sea, Sicily, South-West Ireland, the Farne Islands (Northumberland), Scapa Flow (Orkneys), St. Kilda (North-West Scotland), Anglesey, Oban and Mull, and more.

We love training people new to the sport as well as welcoming qualified divers from all training organisations.

The club meets every Thursday evening from 7pm at St Georges Pool, Shadwell, when members have exclusive use of the pool for training and swimming (7.30 - 8.30pm in the pool). Thursday evenings finish off with a drink in the beer garden of The Old Rose, across the road on the Highway.

Check the DIVING section in the menu to see our dive programme for the year and to read reports of previous trips.
