In the great tradition of UK sport, Clidive is run by a committee of volunteers. The Clidive Committee is made up of constitutional posts that are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and appointments to specific – and sometimes temporary – posts by the elected committee members. We meet online or in person 10 times a year.

No member is allowed to stay in post longer than three years. This shares the work, brings fresh perspectives, and allows a wide range of members to gain experience running our club.

Chair

Our elected Chair keeps the committee focused on achieving our goals for the year and ensures the club's ethos and values are upheld. Contact Rebecca if you have any concerns about the club or ideas to improve it.

Secretary

The elected Secretary organises the committee meetings in line with our constitution, writes the minutes and keeps the committee action log up to date. He also organises the AGM. Contact Jaka if you have a question about the committee or something you want us to discuss.

Gillian

Diving Officer

The elected Diving Officer is responsible for developing Clidive's busy diving programme, supporting the Dive Managers who organise the different trips and ensuring our diving is conducted in line with BSAC's safe diving practices. Contact Gillian if you have a diving-related question, or if you would like to suggest or, better still, organise a club trip.

Treasurer

The elected Treasurer is responsible for managing the money we collect and spend, maintaining club accounts, and ensuring we are financially sound. The Treasurer takes a keen interest in making sure the individual trip accounts are accurate and is always happy to help struggling Money Managers. Membership Officer

Our Membership Officer is a committee appointment responds to queries from potential members, registers new members and keeps our membership records up to date. Contact Fiona if you have a question about your membership, want to change your details or know somebody interested in joining the club.

Jérémie

Equipment Officer

The Equipment Officer is a Diving Officer appointment responsible for maintaining the club's dive kit, keeping our cylinders full, and managing the kit cupboard and the volunteers who staff it to help make Thursday pool evenings run smoothly. Contact Jérémie if you discover a problem with club kit or want to become a kit cupboard volunteer.

Training Officer

The Training Officer is a Diving Officer appointment responsible for a rolling programme of Try Dives and our Ocean Diver and Sports Diver training. She also fields general training queries and organises on-demand refresher sessions for members. Contact Marta if you want to practise or refresh your skills with the help of an instructor, or if you know somebody interested in learning to dive.

Skills Development Officer

The Skills Development Officer is a Diving Officer appointment who organises our programme of member training opportunities outside of the main qualification courses. Contact Cassi if you want to learn or improve a specific skill and you're not sure how to go about it.

Webmaster

The Webmaster is a committee appointment responsible for maintaining and improving our website and manages Clidive emails. If you spot something wrong with the website or have any ideas for improving it let Nick B know.

Bo'sun (Boats Officer)

The Bo'sun is a Diving Officer appointment who maintains our two beautiful RIBs and ensures they are being looked after properly on trips. Contact Phil if you've spotted something that needs fixing or you'd like to know more about our boats and would like to help out occasionally with keeping them in tip-top condition.
