Clidive takes data protection very seriously and is committed to protecting your privacy and security. This policy sets out what data we collect, how we use your personal data, and explains how you can request us to delete or update your personal data.

Clidive collects members’ contact details, emergency contact information, medical status, payment details and other information required for club diving operations. Information is voluntarily provided by members through the submission of paper and electronic forms. Information is collected for use by Clidive and for submission to the British Sub-Aqua Club, for the purpose of BSAC membership applications.

Clidive takes great care to safeguard your contact details and will never sell them to another organisation. Our sole usage of personal information collected is as follows:

  • To contact members with information on upcoming trips, courses, socials and other relevant updates
  • To contact members with regards to trips and courses that they have signed up for
  • Emergency contact information is stored for use in the event of an emergency
  • Submission of membership applications to the British Sub-Aqua Club

If you would like to update any of your details or check what details we have on our database, please email membership@clidive.org. You can opt out of our communications or request that your personal details be deleted at any time – to do so please email membership@clidive.org. Your data will be retained and used for the purposes outlined in this privacy statement until such time as you terminate your membership of Clidive, unless you submit a request that your details be retained for continued communications after that point.
