Clare  Marketing (Existing Divers)
Clare first learned to dive with her university club and after a long break returned to diving last year, thanks to Clidive! She is now helping to organise the club's Go Dives! for other divers who are looking to get back into diving and qualified divers who would like to join the club.

Warwick  Chair
Warwick learnt to dive with Clidive in 1997, and thinks the club is great. He's an Advanced Diver and Open Water instructor. Let him know if you have any comments or concerns about the club.

Mary  Diving Officer
Mary is Clidive’s Diving Officer. Mary learnt to dive in the Red Sea in 1994 and joined BSAC and Clidive in 1995. An advanced diver, open water instructor and diver coxswain plus lifesaving examiner.

Lucy  Treasurer
Lucy joined Clidive in 2008 and enjoys diving in the UK and abroad.
She's currently a Sports Diver but is beginning her Dive Leader training
this year. She is taking over from Flic as club treasurer.

Stefano  Secretary
Stefano joined Clidive in 2004 and learned to dive with the club. As an instructor he is often around on a Thursday evening. He enjoys UK diving, in particular wrecks, and is also one of the club's boat handlers.

Neil  Equipment Officer
Neil learned to dive with PADI in 2004 and joined Clidive in 2008. He's a keen diver, in the UK and abroad, and is training as a Dive Leader. As the equipment officer he can be found around the kit cupboard most Thursdays, or in the pub afterwards.

Louise  Membership Secretary
Louise joined in 2008 and learned to dive with the club. She has been a keen diver since, mainly in the UK and Malta. Joining the commitee in 2009 Louise now keeps all our membership details in order.

Rory  Boat Officer
Over 25 years experience, dived extensively in the UK, Ireland and Egypt. Advanced Diver, Open Water Instructor, Diver Cox and Day Skipper.
Joined the committee in 1996, previous posts include diving officer and equipment officer.
Happy to offer advice on any type of equipment purchase, maintenance, service and repair.

Mike  Social Secretary
Mike learned to dive in the Red Sea in 2001 and joined Clidive in 2007 after experiencing some excellent cold water diving off the Cape of Good Hope earlier that year. Since then Mike has been on several Clidive Expeditions, including the Scillies and Shetlands in 2009, and is currently training as a Dive Leader.

Pat  Newsplash Editor
Pat first dived in warm waters overseas back in 2005, got the bug, and signed up for more with Clidive. As the club's resident seasickness expert, when not diving he's often thinking or writing about it, making him a good choice for Newsplash editor.

Thierry  Le Webmaster / Instructor
Thierry started diving in January 2003 and qualified as an Instructor in 2006. He tends to enjoy more the scenic dives and considers wrecks as nice artificial reefs.
And thanks to Clidive's dating agency, he crossed Sarah 's path during a dive trip in Sharm El Sheik. He's French, software programmer, enjoys a Ricard or a Pastis under the sun!

Colin  National Instructor
Colin is a rare breed, as a National Instructor. Although not often found at the club on a Thursday, a source of invaluable information and experience. Colin is often seen on our more popular trips to the south coast.

Declan  Advanced Instructor
A long standing member of Clidive (1989), Declan has taken many committee posts in the past. An advanced Instructor and active diver.

Ben  Instructor
Ben learned to dive in the Red Sea in 1997, joined Clidive in 1998, did his first UK open water dive at the Eddystone Lighthouse south of Plymouth, loved it, and has been hooked ever since. 10 years later, he is still obsessed by diving ever-more remote offshore lighthouses from small rubber boats.

Naomi  Lifeguard
Naomi joined Clidive in 2003 and is now a Dive Leader. Naomi enjoys a wide variety of diving and whilst most have been in the UK, she arranged one of Clidive's largest trips to Egypt.

Susa  Instructor
Susa actually lives several hundred miles away from Ironmonger Row Baths on the Isle of Mull, Inner Hebrides, where she runs the science programme on the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust's research vessel, Silurian. Susa has been diving for a few years, and joined the club in 2001. Although she likes a bit of tropical diving now and again, she is crazy about UK marine life, and is most happy bimbling aimlessly along a reef checking out the critters. Motto: "the more you look the more you see".

Annette  Instructor
In 1997, Annette learnt to dive her native, sunny (land-locked!) Zimbabwe with Branch 63, the second oldest overseas branch of BSAC. Annette's favourite dive is Chinhoyi caves in Zimbabwe where she claims the water is so clear you can see the leaves on the trees above from 50m! Annette also loves UK diving since investing in a drysuit and conquering her sea-sickness. She is an Advanced Instructor.

Joli  Instructor
Joli learned to dive in the chilly 3 degree water of stoney cove in 2000 and belonged to her uni club for 3 years. She then joined Clidive in 2003 to complete Advanced diver course.
Involved in increasingly technical diving, Joli still enjoys the odd warm water splash with us.

Sharon  Instructor
Sharon started diving in 1991 and joined Clidive in 1993, and she is still well and truly hooked, as UK diving is the best in the world. She says "I rarely get bored with it (Ok I admit it The Countess of Erne is boring after the umpteenth time!)".
She dived all round the UK from the Scillies to St. Kilda and Scapa, and love allsorts of diving, especially wall dives, the deeper the drop-off the better.
Some of her favourite dives include: The Koln, The Cita, The James Egan Lane, The Kowloon Bridge. Eddystone Reef, Hilsea Point, Trenemenan Rock.
Sharon agrees she has a 'thing' for Jewel Anemones: "I get transfixed by them!"

Brian  Instructor
Brian learned to dive with PADI in Barbados in 1999 and joined Clidive in 2001. His cold water baptism in Portland harbour was enough to confirm his enthusiasm for UK diving, so he signed up for the Sports Diver course immediately.

Brian says: "Excursions to warmer waters around the world haven't dampened my desire for drysuit diving, and a recent trip to Scapa Flow reconfirmed my belief that UK waters have some of the best diving to be had anywhere in the world."
